FWF- Hey Stud!

Friday means Friends with Flair and this week I'm linking up with my 'hey stud' masculine birthday card. I think I should save this for my sweetie pie; he's a stud. :)

I love how the dude is pointing his finger...you can almost HEAR him say, "yeah baby, I'm hot". I bet he has serious swagger. Maybe he'll give me his football jacket? (Do guys still do that? And by 'that' I mean, they didn't even do that when I was in high school...I'm not THAT old)

There's a lot of product mish mash going on here- Hey Stud Unity Stamp, papers from all over the place, twine, spray mist, enamel dots- all in the interest of keeping it manly! Did it work? :) Hop on over the Unity blog and check out all the other creations linked up today! Happy Friday to you all and enjoy your weekend!!

Well wishes!

How about a sweet little get well greeting today? I pulled out my Pure Innocence stash and created this card to add to my 'get well' pile because you never know when you will need one! I used watercolor markers to color her in, and custom inked the wood butterfly to match the papers. It's a pretty basic layout that you can't go wrong with AND highlights those super sweet patterned papers as well as the ever cute girly.

Thanks for popping in to take a look and have a GREAT day! :)

General Craft Supplies

Crafty challenges always boost my creativity! They give me a reason to get out some not-often-used supplies and put them to work. This time I ended up digging through my children's craft supply drawer so that I could play along in the General Craft Supply Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. Their Nana gave them a 'jumbo jar' of crafty stuff last Christmas and it was an endless source of inspiration- feathers, beads, popsicle sticks, pom poms, floss...the list goes on. I pulled out a rainbow of feathers and set to work!

Pairing rainbow colours with a white wood grain base and my sentiment in black worked perfectly for my card. I love how it turned out and can't wait to gift it to a friend. I used Scor Tape to hold those feathers in place and the banner over top hid the tape perfectly. It might be hard to see in the picture, but that script 'you' die cut is glittery black paper...LOVE. Thanks for checking out my card!

Happy happy happy!!

Die cuts...how versatile they can be. Ohhhh the possibilities- both for the positive AND negative cut outs!  If you caught my last post, you'd have seen that I used a fantastic Simon Says Stamp 'happy' die 3 times on a birthday card. Well, I planned it right this time and used tape to hold the die in place as I cut it each time, that way I would have the beautiful piece of patterned paper left over to use as I saw fit. It sure did make it easy to throw this card together. I simply trimmed the paper to fit an A2 card base and glued it on.  One feather sticker and a few enamel dots and the card is DONE! Easy peasy.  Thanks for popping in today. :)

Dreamcatcher Birthday

I absolutely adore the Glitz Design Wild & Free collection.  It's just about as colourful, fun, trendy and eclectic as any collection I've seen. I LOVE it. :)  I used it here on a birthday card for my cousin who is turning 16 soon. She's about as wild and free, funky, fun and eclectic as this collection so it was fitting to use it for her.

I die cut the 'happy' die 3 times and layered them, masked off the 'happy' part of the stamp and just used the 'birthday', added my sequins and flicked on some spray mist. Done!  I kept this card 4x6 rather than the usual A2 card size, as to keep the entire panel of the patterned paper. I couldn't fathom cutting about that lovely dream catcher!
