Inspired by All the Little Things #86- FINAL challenge

Welcome to another Inspired by All the Little Things challenge! Before we get started with my card this week, we have an announcement to make from the team: this will be our last inspiration for the Inspired By All the Little Things challenge. We'll miss it!

On to the inspiration...

I was inspired by the colours, the metallic elements and the geometric design of the feathers.

I loosely watercoloured a panel and glued it behind a cover plate from My Favorite Things, then adhered the entire thing to a white card base. The die cut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp was cut three times and glued together, then heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Another little sentiment from My Favorite Things was embossed with white powder on a black cardstock strip and adhered to the card.

Inspired by All the Little Things #85

Welcome to more fabulous inspiration from the Inspired by All the Little Things team!

I'm a sucker for rustic looking floral arrangements. This inspiration photo is PERFECT for me because of that, AND because I have a ton of wood grain patterned paper to use up, haha.

I used some gorgeous ephemera from the Crate Paper Flourish collection. I tend to buy these packages and then never use them up but this collection will be the exception. SO darn pretty. The florals were layered over top of the wood grain paper and the sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Banner in Bloom was adhered using foam tape over top of all of that. A few gold sequins finish it off.

Welcome to more fabulous inspiration from the Inspired by All the Little Things team!

Woah. THIS inspiration photo. Does it make anyone else hungry? I'm pretty sure I want cake, ice cream, AND cookies all at once.
I love the pastel colours and that cone immediately reminded me of a unicorn horn...I have a nine year old daughter so we talk about unicorns A LOT in our house lol.

Magical Unicorn by Pinkfresh Studio seems to be a favourite stamp/die set of everyone lately. I couldn't resist it. Using colours based on the inspiration photo, I stamped and die cut all the parts and pieces and even added some sparkly embossing powder to the horn which I inked up in an ombré fashion. The ears are also sparkly! So fun. I stamped the sentiment right on a scrap of patterned paper that almost perfectly captures the whimsical nature of the cake in the picture. The panel is adhered to a pink card base using foam tape.

Here's a close up of the sparkle and finer details.

Excuse me while I go hide this from my daughter because I KNOW she will steal it. :)

Pin-Sights: Pantone Attitude

This weekend we were housebound with so much rain and freezing rain, and at one point I couldn't open the back door because it was frozen solid! Needless to say, I stayed indoors and made cards. :)

The Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights challenge perfectly sums up my need for delightful rainbow-y type stuff because I am SICK of winter. :) Bring on rainbows and springtime weather!

I used the large floral stamp and a sentiment from Mondo Magnolia for my card today. I used Copic markers to colour it in, some Stickles for sparkle in the centre, and a stitched rectangle to cut it out. It's adhered to a lime green card base using foam adhesive. Boom. Easy peasy and oh so colourful and cheerful. Now I hope YOU all have a beautiful day!

Here's the inspiration:

Rainbow Sparkle Birthday

Happy 9th birthday to Simon Says Stamp! They are celebrating over on their Wednesday challenge blog and the theme is of course...birthdays, and they are using exclusive products to the store.

Birthday cards are one my favourite kinds of cards to make, so I pulled out a few of my favourite Simon Says products and got creative. I wanted to make something bright and sparkly!

On a white card panel cut slightly smaller than my A2 card base, I taped down the Folk Dance stencil and blended Distress Inks through it in rainbow order. With it still taped in place, I spread through Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer paste, then removed the stencil and set the panel aside to dry. Once dry, I adhered it to the card base using foam tape. For my sentiment, the MISTI helped to stamp the 'happy birthday' from Big Scripty Greetings in black Versafine ink and then I sprinkled on some WOW Clear Sparkle embossing powder for even MORE sparkle and shine. :) A stitched circle die cut the sentiment and I adhered it to the card using foam tape. The final touch was a few colourful sequins.

So sparkly! Just the kind of card I love to send out.

Thanks for stopping in today, and I hope you have a GREAT day.

Inspired by All the Little Things #83

Welcome to more fabulous inspiration from the Inspired by All the Little Things team!

What a cheerful inspiration photo this time around! It makes me long for warmer weather and springtime...we've had more snow this week and I am reeeeeeally sick of winter.

The colourful florals and all the texture and dimension in the picture inspired me this week.

Here's what I came up with:
I paired a cover plate die that was cut from white cardstock with a white card base for a fresh look, then added some bold florals using felt. The Mini Royal Roses and Layered Leaves from My Favorite Things were perfect for some of the flowers on this card. The rest of the flowers are retired products. I thought the bright and pretty flowers would be perfect for a card to send to a friend "just because" so I added a sentiment from All About You.  Clear sequins here and there add a fun bit of sparkle to finish it off.

Felt Floral Frenzy

Every once in awhile another crafty interest hits my house and my daughter and I go a little craft crazy. I took a break from cardmaking this week, and set to work making felt flowers instead.

Rolled roses, succulents, greenery, spiky daisies...the list goes on.

So many of the die cuts in my cardmaking stash work perfectly for making felt flowers.

For this succulent and greenery inspired wall hanging I used Beautiful Blooms II and Turning a New Leaf dies by Papertrey Ink, Crafter's Companion Rose die, and hand cut the rest with the help from some YouTube videos. Search "felt flower tutorials" and the felt flower world is at your fingertips!

For this colourful wall hanging I used Loving Blooms by CAS-ual Fridays to create the pieced together yellow flower, and the pink flower was made using the Tattered Poppy die from Simon Says Stamp. That particular die came in many pieces and I was able to use one of the petal dies to create a fun rolled flower. Look over those floral dies in your stash and put them to fun use!

My felt stash consists of felt from Papertrey Ink and Taylored Expressions (it's fantastic!) so far. I've just placed an order with Benzie Designs felt and can't wait to see how it is. I have currently used up ALL my felt (yikes!) and so I'm back to cardmaking until my next order comes in lol. :)

Thanks for stopping in today, and have a great day!
